 Here at monarch networking we are split into 2 groups, Networking and managers. Networking gets the more It tasks done while management gets the paperwork done. We put importance on teamwork and communication, to accomplish the tasks we have been given. We are here to simulate an actual workspace and complete tasks by certain deadlines.

 

You learn many different skills such as time management, problem solving skills, teamwork skills, and many different life skills. you also get the it skills such as server management, cybersecurity, and computer hardware knowledge.

Computer hardware​

One of the first things you learn in Monarch Networking is how to take apart desktops, laptops and printers and putting it back together. You learn all about what each parts job is and where they go in properly. This is a useful skill to have, as diagnosing and potentially repairing the issue yourself is cheaper than having someone else do it. 

Another small thing you learn is how to make ethernet cables and patch pannels. This is used for getting internet connections to servers and clients.

One of the major thing you do at Monarch Networking is server management. Server management involves overseeing and maintaining the operation of servers to ensure they run efficiently and securely. This includes monitoring performance, implementing security measures, managing configurations, and performing regular software updates. Key tasks also include data backups, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance to minimize downtime and prevent system failures.

life skills

Monarch Networking teaches valuable life skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail, as small oversights can lead to significant issues. They also enhance time management and prioritization, as you often need to handle multiple tasks and make quick decisions under pressure. Additionally, these fields foster adaptability through continuous learning, improve communication skills for explaining technical issues, and develop risk management and decision-making abilities. Leadership and teamwork are also key components, as you collaborate with others to maintain system security and integrity.

cybersecurity

Monarch networking teaches Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting digital systems, networks, and data from threats like hacking, malware, and phishing. It ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, while preventing unauthorized access and damage. It also involves monitoring and responding to emerging threats to safeguard online transactions and digital infrastructures.
